Paintings by two Odisha girls grab PM Modi’s attention at Jajpur rally

Taking a break from the speech, Modi observed that holding the paintings for so long would have been painful and even asked the girls to write their names and addresses on the flip side of the paintings. To their utter joy, the Prime Minister even announced on the dais that he would write letters to them.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi waiving at the painters

Two girls holding paintings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a massive crowd at Chandikole in Jajpur stole the media limelight on Tuesday.

Moments after inaugurating a host of projects worth Rs 19,000 crores during his Jajpur visit, the Prime Minister was addressing a rally, when his attention was drawn towards the two girls, who were holding the paintings aloft.  They wished to gift the PM their paintings, but amid a sea of party workers and tight security, it was almost impossible for them to reach the PM.
