Assam Chief Minister and BJP’s star campaigner Himanta Biswa Sarma launched a broadside against Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, his close aide VK Pandian and the BJD.

During a public meeting in Attabira, Sarma targeted the state government while raising several issues including the disappearance of the Ratna Bhandar key and labour migration issues.

While addressing the gathering, he asserted that Modi’s guarantee means a guarantee of the completion of projects.

“The most important thing is that the youths and farmers of Odisha should get their due justice. But Pandian is standing on the path. This is why we have to make sure that Odisha should be Pandian-free and it should have Narendra Modi’s double-engine government,” said Sarma.

Sarma also attended the 'Vijay Sankalp Samavesh’ at Belpahad and Bonai in Jharsuguda and Sundargarh districts respectively and campaigned for party candidates.

Later in the day, while addressing a public meeting at Jatani Chhatabara, he said,"Puri Srimandir Ratna Bhandar key has been hidden by Pandian. He should return the keys before June 10, or we will find out the key at any cost. PM Narendra Modi made Ram Mandir in Ayodhya possible when everyone thought it wouldn't happen. Likewise, PM Modi will find out the key of Ratna Bhandar.”

No reactions were received from the BJD.
