Ahead of the second phase of polling in Odisha, Minister and Bijepur Assembly BJD Candidate Rita Sahu had to face an embarrassing situation as she was questioned about the development works undertaken by her by locals during poll campaign.

As per reports, the unsavoury incident involving the BJD leader happened when Rita was electioneering at Sanddibahal village under Gaisilet block in Bargarh district on Tuesday.

Several locals allegedly questioned Rita about lack of developmental activities in the region. However, she failed to give any kind of satisfactory answers to the public. Later, Rita’s supporters shelved her and didn’t allow the public to question anymore.

“Farmers in our area are grappling with several problems. No development activities have been undertaken in our area. When we asked our MLA about the development works undertaken in our area during her tenure, she could not give any satisfactory answer,” alleged a voter.

“MLA’s supporters wanted to give answers for her, but she didn’t reply anything. When we wanted to know the answer from the MLA, her supporters didn’t allow us to ask questions,” he added.

No reactions from Minister Rita Sahu could be obtained in this regard.
