BJP leaders of Khallikote pointing fingers at a bigger conspiracy for the murder
Workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged that the murder of one person in Khallikote was politically motivated and Saket Rama Rao, the nephew of the late queen of Khallikote V. Sugnana Kumari Deo, is behind this murder.
Speaking to the media, BJP’s Lok Sabha coordinator and local leader Jagyan Narayan Das claimed that a feast was organised last night at the bungalow of the late queen and it was there itself the murder plan was hatched.
“It was heard that after the feast, his people came straight from there and attacked the BJP workers while they were putting up posters,” he added, claiming that money is being distributed to people at the bungalow, but why the police are not raiding the place.
“The bungalow is the hub of corruption. Police should raid the place,” Das observed.
Other BJP leaders also alleged that the murder was committed on instructions from Saket Rama Rao.
One of the local BJP leaders said, "In the last 25 years, we had never seen such a feast at the bungalow when the queen was alive. A grand feast was thrown for 2000 people with provision for liquor and mutton. Saket Rama Rao, who is said to be the nephew of the late queen, is responsible for the murder. After making an inflammatory speech, he instructed his people to attack BJP workers.”
However, no comments were received from Saket Rama Rao or local police.
They were immediately rushed to the Khallikote Community Health Centre and later shifted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur as their condition deteriorated.
One of them succumbed to injuries. The deceased has been identified as Dilip Puhan.
