Amid the intensified campaigning for the third and fourth phases of Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in Odisha, veteran actor Arun Govil, who essayed the role of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar's mega TV serial Ramayan and is BJP's candidate from his hometown Meerut, said that the time has come for the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government to go.

He said this while campaigning for party candidates in Keonjhar on Wednesday. His visit to Champua drew a massive crowd today.

Speaking exclusively to OTV, the senior BJP leader said, "The election atmosphere is always different. This time, people have much enthusiasm and positivity. It is time to work for the country and people have to vote.”

Asked about the 25 years of the Naveen Patnaik government in Odisha, Govil said, "Given people’s enthusiasm at the election rally in Champua, I feel the time has come for the government to be changed.”

'Odisha atmosphere positive for BJP'

“The atmosphere in Odisha is very positive for the BJP. I am sure the BJP will form the government this time,” he asserted.
The BJP leader urged, “Pehele matdaan, baat main jalpan.” As for this appeal, he explained, "People should first come to the booths to exercise their franchise before doing the remaining work of the day.”

He also appealed to the people to vote for those who brought Lord Ram. "There are leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and many others who dedicated their lives to the Ram Mandir. The appeal is for those who believe in Ram Rajya.”
