After Odisha BJP chief Manmohan Samal, the saffron party’s Odisha election in-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar on Saturday reiterated that there is no chance of an alliance with the ruling BJD in the state in the upcoming elections.

Tomar said this after returning from BJP’s election management committee meeting in Delhi.

Speaking to reporters, Tomar said, “We have not discussed anything regarding any alliance in Odisha. I have discussed with the party president JP Nadda. He did not say anything about any alliance.”

“We will fight Odisha Assembly election alone and win more than 80 seats. Similarly, we will win more than 16 MP seats from Odisha,” Tomar asserted.

Commenting on the rumours about the alliance, Tomar said it is the BJD which is floating the idea of an alliance. “We have never said anything about alliance with them.”

Earlier, Manmohan Samal had told media persons that the party will not enter into any alliance in the State.

Samal also exuded confidence that the saffron party will win all 21 Lok Sabha seats and will also form government in Odisha. He also said that the party will release its first list of candidates by tomorrow.
