With politics intensifying in Odisha in the run-up to the crucial 2024 elections, BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik kicked off political campaign for the party in Koraput on Saturday.

While attending a public meeting in the district, Patnaik appealed to people to bless him and the Biju Janata Dal. Patnaik also tried to strike a chord with the people by asking whether the welfare schemes launched by the State government, including KALIA, Mamata, Mission Shakti, Scholarship and BSKY, are good and whether they are getting benefits or not.

Patnaik also took the opportunity to target the Opposition parties in the State to woo voters.

In his address, Patnaik said, “The opposition is telling lies and its leaders are shedding crocodile tears. Bless me and BJD’s MLA and MP candidates.”

No comment could be obtained from BJP or Congress over the allegations.
