BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday released the second list of candidates for Assembly and third list of candidates for Lok Sabha seats.

Here is the list of Assembly Candidates:

BJD has fielded a new face in the Bargarh Lok Sabha seat. Parinita Mishra, who joined the BJD from BJP about a few hours ago was fielded as the MP candidate from the Bargarh parliamentary seat while BJP leader Bhrugu Baxipatra who crossed over to the ruling party was given a ticket in the Berhampur Lok Sabha seat against BJP candidate Pradeep Panigrahi. 

Baxipatra thanked the Chief Minister for picking him for the prestigious Berhmapur LS seat.

Senior journalist Prasanna Mohanty said that the BJD has preferred some imported leaders in both LS and Assembly seats. He added that even some leaders linked with controversies in the past have been given tickets.

Prashant Muduli, who was repeated in Jagatsinghpur Assembly seat said, “Development is the motto of our leader Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. He is always trying to ensure development for common people. I thank him for giving me a chance for the fourth time in Jagatsinghpur.”

Surendra Singh Bhoi, who was fielded by the BJD in the Bolangir LS seat, said, "The development agenda of the Chief Minister, support of the people and blessings of Lord Jagannath will ensure the BJD’s victory.”

BJD candidate of Bhubaneswar North seat, Sushant Rout said, "The BJD will fight seriously on the development agenda. Time will decide what is going to happen. The Chief Minister has reposed faith in my leadership and I thank him for choosing me twice.”
