‘BJP to announce full candidates’ list by April 20; change likely in 1 Assembly seat’

Amidst the inordinate delay in declaration of candidates by major political parties, BJP on Wednesday said that it will announce more candidates in the next two-three days.

Moreover, the entire candidate list is likely to be announced by April 20, said BJP’s Odisha Election in-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar.

“Candidates’ names will be announced in the next two to three days,” said Tomar.

While speaking to reporters after his arrival in Bhubaneswar today, Tomar said a change is likely to be done in one Assembly seat due to some technical fault as the seat is reserved for ST. As per sources, BJP may change its candidate for Pottangi Assembly reserved for ST.

Tomar further claimed that the BJP will perform well in the coming 2024 elections, both in Assembly and Lok Sabha segments. “We will form the government in Odisha with a clear majority in Assembly and Lok Sabha here,” Tomar added.
