Odisha announces several benefits for teachers, staff of aided educational institutions

A lump sum amount of Rs 10 lakh and Rs 5 lakh has been approved for teaching and non-teaching staff, respectively, at the time of retirement at 60.

Odisha government on Sunday announced several benefits including retirement benefits for block grant employees working in aided private higher educational institutions. The state cabinet has approved a proposal to grant 15 days of earned leave annually for the employees.

Apart from this, all the female employees will get 180 days maternity leave for two deliveries. Furthermore, after 16 years from the date of joining the job, the teachers will be entitled to a Placement Scale facility at the higher pay scale.
