Eyeing on Lok Sabha and Assembly polls, the Odisha Chief Minister went on a whirlwind tour of Angul district launching a slew of projects and laying foundation stones for new ones.

The employment rate is rising in the state. The state will continue to make progress in coming days. Mission Shakti is my favourite agenda, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during the inauguration of a few projects in Angul district on Thursday.

According to sources, Patnaik has inaugurated 10 projects while laid the foundation stone for 13 projects during his visit to Angul district.

CM has also announced the launching of two mega drinking water projects for the district.

Besides, CM has also announced to provide Rs 50,000 crore loan to women under Mission Shakti Yojana.

Apart from inaugurating the much-awaited Angul bus stand, he has also inaugurated a hospital at Palhara and a heritage corridor at Talcher Municipality. 

Addressing the public, CM said, “Angul is a progressive district. Being an industrially developed area, it is always on the top of districts. Employment opportunity has risen in the district. So also, economic activities have seen a spurt in the district. The state government has inaugurated projects worth 800 crore. It will help in the continuous growth of the district.”

He went on to add: “Mission Shakti is my favourite programme and I want more women to join the programme to explore their entrepreneurial skills.”
