The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s 'Jan Aashirwad Yatra' by the newly-inducted Union Ministers will be taken out in Odisha from August 19 to 22.
As part of the programme, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav will reach Bhubaneswar on August 19 and proceed to Puri to pay obeisance to Lord Jagannath. They will be welcomed by people at different places during the journey.
A press conference will be held on the same evening.
From August 19 to 22, Pradhan will hold various programmes in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Khordha.
Similarly, Ashwini Vaishnav will travel to Rayagada district in Hirakhand Express on the evening of August 19. He will visit Koraput the next day and stay over there. The Minister is scheduled to visit Jeypore and Nabarangpur on August 21 and reach Bhawanipatna on August 22.
On the evening of August 22, the Union Minister will reach Bhubaneswar from Bolangir by train.
According to party sources, both the Union Ministers will travel 419 km and hold programmes at 115 places. They will visit six Parliamentary constituencies in seven districts.
According to sources, BJP will organise the programme across the country to reach out to people. The Yatra will see 39 Ministers who joined the Modi Cabinet in the last month's reshuffle, holding massive public rallies across the country.
The Yatra will continue for 142 days throughout the country. The main objective of the programme is to take the various schemes of the Modi government to the people, said BJP State general secretary Golak Mohapatra.
