Water supply in Bhubaneswar to be disrupted for 24 hours: WATCO
Water supply in Bhubaneswar will be disrupted for 24 hours, starting from 2pm on Friday and continuing till 2pm on Saturday, informed the Water Corporation of Odisha (WATCO). Reportedly, due to essential pipeline repair works, the water supply in the Temple City will be disrupted across most parts of Bhubaneswar.
The WATCO Odisha through a social media post announced, “Due to an emergency repair in the pipeline at Mundali, there will be water supply disruption in areas of Bhubaneswar from 2 PM on 18th to 2 PM on 19th. Please cooperate with us, we are sorry for your inconvenience.”
The areas where the water supply will be affected include Ghatikia, Pokhariput, Nayapalli and Chandrasekharpur. In Ghatikia region, the affected areas include Kalinganagar, Patrapada, Bharatpur, Shampur, Ghatikia, Khandagiri, Kolatia, Aiginia, Baramunda, Jagannath Vihar, Rental Colony, CRPF area, Ekamra Village, Baramunda bus stand area, Tapoban, AIIMS Nagar and AIIMS Hospital.

In the Chandrasekharpur area, the water supply will affect Niladri Vihar, Salia Sahi, and Maitri Vihar. Similarly, in Nayapalli division, the disruptions will be faced in IRC Village, Nayapalli village, Kaveri Basti, Gadasahi Basti, Neelakantha Nagar, Balipada Sahi, Anand Vihar, Sitapur Basti and Shastri Nagar.
Similarly, Jadupur, Dumuduma village, Dumuduma housing board colony, Jagamara, Jagmohan Nagar, Dharma Vihar, Gandamunda, Bhakta Madhu Nagar, Ananta Vihar, Lingaraj Vihar, Kargil Basti, Kapil Prasad village, Kapil Prasad BDA Colony, Sundarpada, Krishna Garden, Mallik Complex, Siddhi Vihar, Saubhagya Nagar and Shatabdi Nagar will be impacted due to the water supply disruption.
For the High-level tank division, the affected regions include the Aerodrome area, Bhimpur, Palaspalli, Forest Park, Siripur, Ganganagar, and parts of Unit I-VIII.
