Union Minister Giriraj Singh accuses Odisha govt of hijacking Central schemes, raps officials

Union Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Giriraj Singh rapped the administrative officials of the department for failing to give satisfactory answers about the utilisation of various Central Schemes in Odisha during a review meeting.

As per reports, the Union Minister reviewed a meeting with the officials about the proper utilisation and execution of various Central schemes in the State during his visit to Nabarangpur district. However, he expressed his dissatisfaction during the review meeting after not getting proper answers to certain queries from the concerned department officials regarding the matter.

Singh also alleged that the State government is hijacking all the schemes initiated by the Union government. He also said sarcastically that ‘Andher Nagri Choupat Raj’ is going on in the State.

However, no reaction from the administration and ruling party could be obtained in response to Singh’s allegations.

Notably, Singh is scheduled to take part in Shyama Prasad Mukherjee's death anniversary celebration or Balidaan Divas (Sacrifice Day) today.
