Two Class 10 students have allegedly gone missing at Anantapur village under Soro Police Limits of Balasore district.

The missing students have been identified as Rajesh Sahoo, son of Ramesh Sahoo of Anantapur village and his classmate Abinash Parmanik. They are the students of Patimunda High School.

According to the family members, like any other day, Rajesh and his friend Abinash had gone to the school at 10 am yesterday. They returned home at recess time, submitting applications. In their applications, they mentioned that they were unable to attend the rest of the classes as they were feeling ill.

From home, Rajesh along with his friend Abinash reportedly went to the branch of the State Bank of India in Anantapur market to get his bank passbook printed. Rajesh is receiving a scholarship.  When they didn’t return even after the evening, their family members started searching at all possible locations but failed to trace them. Eventually, they lodged missing complaints at Anantapur outpost.

“Yesterday, my son returned from school at recess time, complaining of ill health. Then he along with his friend went to the State Bank of India’s branch to update his passbook. When they didn’t return even after the normal time, we launched a frantic search for him. We are yet to know about his whereabouts,” said Sabita Sahu, mother of a missing student.
