Accusing Mahanga MLA Pratap Jena of being the mastermind in the murderous attack on Nyaya Pain Ladhei Parivar’s (NPLP) secretary Dilip Sahu, the NPLP’s president Subrat Das on Thursday lodged a complaint at Mahanga police station.

The NPLP’s president Das warned that the NPLP would resort to strike if the police take no action against the miscreants and MLA Pratap Jena.

“On September 26, some miscreants murderously attacked Nyaya Pain Ladhei Parivar’s (NPLP) secretary Dillip Sahu at Mahanga MLA Pratap Jena’s behest. No action has so far been taken against the miscreants involved. In this regard, the NPLP has lodged a written complaint at Mahanga police station,” said Das.

In this regard, no reactions could be obtained from MLA Jena.

Notably, a day after the Salepur JMFC court ordered to continue the case filed against BJD leader and MLA Pratap Jena in the Mahanga double murder case, Dilip Sahu and the members of the NPLP had staged a demonstration in front of the Mahanga block office in Cuttack on September 26.

Later, when the demonstrators were going to burn the effigy of MLA Jena, some miscreants, alleged to be the supporters of the MLA reached the spot and attacked Sahu.
