Tourist drowns in eco-resort at Dhenkanal
A tourist was found dead at an eco-resort in Dhirapatana under Dhenkanal Sadar police station limits on Saturday. The body of the 23-year-old tourist was recovered from the resort’s swimming pool. The deceased has been identified as Tejas Ahuja from Uttarakhand, who had come to the area as part of a visiting group.
According to fire service officials, Tejas drowned in the swimming pool at around 5 am while bathing. On receiving information, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and rescued him. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital at Athagarh, where doctors declared him dead.

The death of the tourist has raised serious concerns over the safety measures in place at the eco-resort. Visitors have pointed out that if proper safety arrangements had been implemented, the youth might not have lost his life.
