Three seriously injured in bow-and-arrow attack in Nuapada

In a shocking incident, as many as three persons were critically injured in a bow-and-arrow attack at Jogimunda village under Sunabeda Sanctuary in Nuapada district on Tuesday.

The accused has been identified as Rupadhar Paharia.

According to reports, Rupadhar launched the attack, leaving three villagers, including Mangalu Paharia, a child, and a woman, seriously injured. All three have been admitted to Sunabeda Medical in critical condition. While the health condition of Mangalu is stated to be stable, others are in critical condition.

The accused Rupadhar Paharia fled the scene. The motive behind the attack remains unclear.

Upon being informed, local police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. Efforts are on to nab the accused.

As per local residents, the accused had no enmity with the victims, and he was not in an inebriated condition. However, he lost his cool for a certain reason and attacked them in a fit of rage. Rupadhar immediately fled from the spot following the incident.
