Thieves strike again, loot cash and gold worth lakhs from house in Ganjam

Thieves looted Rs 3 lakh and 100-gram gold from Harshavardhan Panda's house in Kulada village, Ganjam, Odisha, while the family was asleep. Police are investigating.

A group of miscreants allegedly broke into a house and looted cash and gold in the middle of the night in Kulada village under Bhanjanagar police station limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district.

The incident took place at the residence of Harshavardhan Panda in Gauda Sahi of Kulada village. As per the allegation, thieves entered the house late Tuesday night while all the family members were asleep. They reportedly broke open the backyard door to gain entry into the house.

Cash And Ornaments Reported Missing

It was alleged that the intruders looted around Rs 3 lakh in cash and around 100-gram gold ornaments from the house. The family discovered the theft after waking up, only to find their belongings missing. 

Police Begin Investigation

Following the incident, police reached the crime scene and began an investigation. A sniffer dog and a scientific team were engaged to assist with the inquiry.
