A group clash at Jagamara under Khandagiri police limits in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday night turned the road into a war zone as miscreants attacked each other with swords and machetes.

As per reports, four persons were injured in the clash and sent to the hospital for treatment.

Sources said eight persons from Pandara area in Bhubaneswar had come to a food stall at Jagamara on Tuesday night when a group of men suddenly attacked them leading to a clash.

The clash became so violent that the miscreants did not even spare the passersby and attacked their vehicles turning the street into a battlefield.

After getting the information, the police reached the spot and arrested five of them. The rest of the miscreants fled the spot.

The police have launched a probe into the incident. It is suspected that the clash might have been a fallout of past enmity.

It is pertinent to mention here that the same group of miscreants were involved in the recent extortion (Dada Bati) case in Baramunda area of the Smart City. Two to three members of the group are currently lodged in jail.
