Subhadra Yojana Call Centre

Amidst the rush at several post offices and other centres to get the Aadhaar card updated for the Subhadra yojana, the Odisha government on Wednesday clarified that there is no need to crowd such centres as no deadline has been fixed for the registration process.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Wednesday inaugurated a call centre for Subhadra yojana where people can get their queries resolved. While talking to reporters, the deputy CM informed that 20,000 to 22,000 calls are being received and already 1.50 lakh calls have been received so far seeking clarification.

“There are small confusions among people and the call centre will be helpful to address such issues. 180 people have been deployed and it is functioning in three shifts. By September 17, call centre strength will be enhanced as it will be functional till the last person is enrolled,” said Parida.

On the Aadhaar updation rush, the deputy CM clarified that in the Subhadra Yojana application form, an applicant has only to give the Aadhaar number and there is no need to submit a physical copy.

“There is no need to rush as money will be provided to all eligible beneficiaries as there is no deadline to complete the registration process. Those, who will complete the registration process after September 17, will also get financial assistance. Forms will be accepted till the last eligible beneficiary is included,” she added.

No One Can Apply From Home

Clearing the air about whether an applicant can apply online, Common Service Centre (CSC) head Dilip Dash informed us that no applicant can apply online from their home. The portal for registration is going to open today.

“As no deadline has been announced, we urge people not to crowd Jana Seva Kendras unnecessarily. Forms are available with Anganwadi workers and Jana Seva Kendras. During registration, the applicants need to bring their Aadhaar card which will be verified. No one will take a copy of the Aadhaar card and it will be returned after verification,” said Dash.

Rush For Aadhaar Update

Common Service Centre (CSC) head Dilip Dash informed that as Aadhaar authentication can be done through four modes- Iris, fingerprint, mobile-based OTP and face authentication, people should not unnecessarily crowd Aadhaar centres to update their mobile number. “People are now thronging to update their mobile numbers at Aadhaar centres. They can do this through other three modes for Subhadra Yojana,” Dash added.
