SUBHADRA Yojana: BJP worker beaten up for exposing bribery at Jana Seva Kendra in Odisha

The BJP-led Odisha government has time and again announced that any demand for bribe for the registration or for applying for the prestigious SUBHADRA Yojana should be reported to the police. Despite repeated warnings, Jana Seva Kendras continue to flout the norms.

In a recent case, a BJP worker has been left battling for his life after he was allegedly beaten up by a Jana Seva Kendra owner and his employees for exposing their bribery. His condition was so critical that he had to be referred to Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital.

According to sources, the Sri Krishna Digital Seva Kendra at Kaithakola under Chandbali block of Dhamra police limits was allegedly demanding Rs 200 from applicants applying for the Subhadra Yojana. On learning about the bribe, Bhadrak District BJP General Secretary Abdul Ahmed Khan approached the Jana Seva Kendra owner and his employees.
