Puri Police has made elaborate arrangements for the devotees to facilitate a hassle-free darshan of Lord Jagannath and His sibling deities on the auspicious occasion of Snana Purnima today.
Around 60 platoons of police force have been deployed for maintaining law and order and other traffic arrangements. Puri Police has also issued a detailed traffic advisory so that devotees coming to the holy town do not face any problems.
In its advisory, senior officials informed that there will be minimum restrictions and only regulation will be enforced in different parts of the city.
There will be no restriction of regular passenger buses from Bhubaneswar/Konark side to enter into regular Municipality bus stand. Buses coming from Bhubaneswar and other areas will be diverted accordingly.
Puri Town shuttle buses/auto-rickshaws will be allowed up to Majana Jaga on Bada Danda. Two-wheelers will avail parking on Bada Danda from Market Square up to Nayak Plaza on first come first avail basis and will be diverted accordingly.
All light motor vehicles, cars, SUVs will avail parking facilities at Jagannath Ballav, Bagala Dharmasala parking, Saradhabali, Blue Flag beach and Hotel Nilachal Ashok. They will be diverted as per availability of space in parking accordingly.
Regulation of vehicular traffic shall be imposed from 12:00 hours on June 3 till the end of Snana Purnima festival on June 4 as per traffic mobility plan.
Traffic restrictions may be relaxed depending on traffic flow. For smooth darshan of the Lords by the devotees, no vehicle zone be ensured from Market Chhak to Jaga Balia lodge. Helpline Any devotee requiring assistance can dial -6370967100- for assistance 24x7.
