Singer Sourin Bhatt deposes before Mahila PS, refutes sexual harassment allegations

In trouble over the alleged sexual harassment, singer Sourin Bhatt on Monday deposed before the Mahila Police station in Cuttack.

Breaking his silence on the controversy, Sourin Bhatt refuted the allegations of harassment brought by a woman.

“All the allegations are false. I do not know the woman. Just wait everything will be proven,” said Bhatt while responding to the queries of media persons.

It is pertinent to mention here that a woman on June 12 had accused the Ollywood singer of sexually harassing her and cheating her of lakhs of rupees. Later, a four-member team of Commissionerate Police had visited the house of Sourin in Kolkata on June 22.

However, the team had to return empty-handed as the singer was in New Delhi.

The complainant, a resident of Cuttack city, reportedly works in a private bank. As per her allegations, she had come in contact with the singer in 2015.

On August 1, the Orissa High Court had granted interim protection to singer Sourin Bhatt after he had moved the court seeking anticipatory bail in the matter.

The Court had directed the playback singer to cooperate in the police investigation whenever required.
