Sundargarh depositor finds discrepancies in post office savings account balance
A resident of Sundargarh district has raised serious concerns after discovering a shocking discrepancy in their savings account at the Mahuldiha Post Office. Despite diligently depositing money over time for essential personal needs, the individual was dismayed to find a significantly reduced balance, sparking distress and a desperate search for answers.
As per the allegation, the amount that had been deposited does not match the balance shown in the account passbook. Suspecting irregularities, the depositor reported the matter to the Bonai Postal Inspector.
Following the complaint, the Postal Inspector initiated an inquiry. It has come to light that the employee involved in the matter has been suspended.
However, the official has clarified that the investigation is still in its preliminary stage, and no final conclusion can be drawn at this point.
Meanwhile, the Postal Superintendent has stated that he is not aware of the issue.
