There seems to be no respite from theft cases for the passengers of Mo Bus plying on different routes of Twin City Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.

In the latest incident, Rs 50,000 was stolen from a passenger while the victim along with his family members was travelling in a Mo bus on Tuesday.

The victim has been identified as Rajkishore Jena.

As per reports, Rajkishore and his family members were travelling in the bus on route number 18 from Jagatpur to Baramunda. However, Rajkishore came to know in the next stoppage after Trisulia that Rs 50,000 has been stolen from his pocket.

The victim filed an FIR about the theft case at Chandrasekharpur police station. Chandrasekharpur police has started an investigation into the incident.

“I and my family members were coming from Banki to Bhubaneswar. We boarded a Mo Bus from Trisulia. However, I found to my utter dismay and shock in the next stoppage that Rs 50,000 is missing from my pocket. I immediately informed the bus staff, following which checking of all the passengers was conducted. However, the stolen amount could not be found. I am helpless now,” said Rajkishore.

While cases of theft and snatching are frequent in Mo Bus, Commissionerate Police seems to have done precious little to nab the miscreants.
