Police on Tuesday claimed that they would crack the death case of Rourkela lady Assistant Collector, Sushmita Minj soon as they have some vital clues in connection with the matter. 

Informing about the latest breakthrough in the case, investigating officer DSP Banita Majhi said, “We have already received the viscera report from the State Forensic Science Laboratory in Bhubaneswar. We have also received expert opinions on the basis of which our investigation is underway. The opinion we have received on the viscera report has provided an angle of our investigation.”

“We have also sent her mobile phone seized from the hotel room to the State Forensic Science Laboratory in Bhubaneswar for the recovery of data. We have gathered some links connected to her death and we are analysing them,” she added. 

Notably, the Assistant Collector’s body was found under mysterious circumstances in the pond of the Centurion Park under Plant Site Police limits in Rourkela on September 19 evening.
