Robbers hurl bombs, loot Rs 2 lakh from 2 youths in Ganjam
In a dramatic armed robbery incident along Brahmapur National Highway in Ganjam district, a group of three miscreants allegedly snatched Rs 2 lakh from two youths late on Saturday night.
The startling event, which induced widespread panic in the area, was caught on the CCTV camera installed near the place.
As per reports, the robbery occurred near a shop beneath the Auto Nagar overpass. Residents of Kanishi village- D Duryodhana and Akash Patra were engaged in conversation when the three miscreants reportedly approached them. The miscreants verbally abused them, hurled bombs and then physically attacked the victims with a sword and other sharp-edged weapons before snatching the money from them.

Upon being informed, Golanthara police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. As many as two persons have been detained in this connection and their questioning is currently underway as part of the investigation.
Golanthara police is also reviewing CCTV footage and speaking with witnesses to identify and capture all involved individuals.
This incident has raised concerns among local residents about safety on the highway. Police are urging witnesses to come forward with any additional information.
