Rice mill owner kidnapped in Odisha's Jeypore

A rice mill owner has been allegedly kidnapped in Borriguma area in Koraput district. So far there is no information regarding the whereabouts of the rice mill owner, identified as A Ramesh Patra.

As per initial reports, Patra was returning from his mill located at Perahandi area when some miscreants allegedly intercepted his car.

It is alleged that Patra has been allegedly kidnapped by the miscreants in his own car.

A formal police complaint has been registered in connection with the incident by the family members of the rice mill owner. So far it is not clear why the rice mill owner has been kidnapped.

Meanwhile, senior police officials have started an investigation into the matter.
