The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday raised several questions including the ongoing police investigation into the accident involving a luxury car (Range Rover) and a bike near Power House Chhak in Bhubaneswar on October 31.
One Lopamudra Sahu, who sustained critical injuries in the road accident, succumbed on Friday. Her relative who was riding the motorcycle is also battling for his life at the hospital.
Addressing a presser, BJP leader Tankadhar Tripathy wanted to know who was sitting inside the Range Rover and who the actual accused is. Whether Bishal, the son of slain minister Naba Das and brother of Jharsuguda MLA Dipalis was inside the Range Rover when the accident occurred, questioned Tripathy.
The BJP leader further stated that several people claimed to have seen Bishal stepping out of the Range Rover and wanted to know how far such claims are true.
“Who is the actual accused of the Bhubaneswar hit and run case? The car is registered in the name of Armour Ray Ventures Private Limited. One of the directors of the company happens to be Bishal Das, son of slain minister Naba Kishore Das. Whether Bishal was present in the car as some people claimed to have seen Bishal stepping out of the car after the accident,” alleged Tripathy.
Tripathy further asked why the registration number of the vehicle was changed and why no BJD leaders are coming forward and expressing condolences over the matter.
Meanwhile, the BJD leaders could not be contacted over the BJP leader’s allegations.
