The condition of the Balanga victim remains critical as she continues to be on oxygen support at Delhi AIIMS. According to a medical bulletin released by AIIMS on Wednesday, doctors have performed surgery on the severely burnt areas of her body.
Post-surgery, a dedicated team of specialists is monitoring her health condition round-the-clock. The hospital authorities stated that while the procedure was successful, her overall recovery remains uncertain at this stage.
Releasing a press statement, AIIMS Delhi stated, “The patient, a 16-year-old girl who sustained 75% burns on 19th July 2025, was airlifted from AIIMS Bhubaneswar and received at the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery, AIIMS New Delhi, on 20th July 2025.”
“On day 5, she underwent surgery for the management of deep burns. She is currently on oxygen support and remains in a critical condition. A dedicated team of doctors is closely monitoring her progress,” the statement further read.
Worth mentioning, the victim was airlifted to Delhi earlier after sustaining critical burn injuries in the Balanga incident. Medical experts have indicated that the next few days will be crucial for her recovery.
The AIIMS medical team is expected to release further updates as her treatment progresses. This case has sparked widespread concern and prayers for her recovery across the state.
