The engineer's residence

In a major development, a country-made gun was seized during a vigilance raid at the residence of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation’s Executive Engineer, Jagannath Pattnaik.

The vigilance team also uncovered information about disproportionate assets during the raid. Sources revealed that properties found so far include a multi-storey building in Bhubaneswar, a farmhouse in Ranpur under Balianta Tehsil, a two-storey house, a pond, a poultry farm, and three expensive plots in Badagada and Khandagiri.

Additionally, approximately 200 grams of gold jewellery, significant bank deposits, a luxury car, and a high-end bike have also been found. The seizure of antlers (deer horns) from the premises has further intensified the investigation.

As of now, the search operation at Jagannath Pattnaik’s residence is still underway, with more assets likely to be unearthed. This raid has raised serious questions about unaccounted wealth and possession of illegal firearms by government officials.
