Preparations for the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Sambalpur are in full swing. Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena chaired a high-level meeting at Lok Seba Bhawan on Thursday on the preparations for the PM’s visit on February 3. The meeting focused on security arrangements and related issues. . 

Sources said, the Prime Minister will leave New New Delhi in the afternoon and arrive at Jharsuguda airport, and from there he will board a special Indian Air Force aircraft to Sambalpur. 

Director of IIM Mahadeo Jaiswal addressing a press meet on Thursday said that the Prime Minister will arrive at Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Sambalpur at 2.15 pm to attend a programme.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive at IIM on a special Indian Air Force aircraft from Jharsuguda airport,” he informed. 

Later he would address a public meeting at Remed Ground.

He will also inaugurate the upgraded Sambalpur Railway station and dedicate the 168-km long Sambalpur-Talcher railway line among other projects. This was stated by Sambalpur DRM Tushar Kant Pandey.

Besides, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stones of some projects and inaugurate some others worth Rs 5816 crore.
