President Droupadi Murmu
Nayagarh is gearing up for a historic visit as President Droupadi Murmu is set to arrive tomorrow to offer prayers at the famous Kantilo Nilamadhaba Temple. The visit, scheduled between 2 PM and 5 PM, has been officially confirmed by Nayagarh District Collector Akshay Sunil Agrawal.
According to sources, the President will first land at the Kantilo Parvatipada helipad in a special aircraft. From there, she will proceed to the temple under tight security arrangements. She is expected to offer prayers at the Nilamadhaba shrine and interact with the temple priests.
Following her temple visit, President Murmu will proceed to Kaliapalli village, where she will visit the Shabar Raja Bishwabasu peetha. She will also participate in the concluding rituals of the ‘Vishwashanti Mahayajna’ and later attend a public gathering organized by the Bishwabasu Shabar community.

Ahead of the President’s visit, the Nayagarh district administration has intensified preparations. Special beautification and renovation work at the Nilamadhaba Temple is being carried out, ensuring the site is ready for the President’s arrival.
Additionally, District Collector Agrawal has conducted a review meeting with senior officials from various departments to finalize security and logistical arrangements.
“We have already held several meetings and necessary instructions were given to various departments. Today, the arrangements were reviewed and discussed. Everything and every arrangement is in place for the President of India’s visit to Nayagarh,” said the district Collector.
With the excitement building up, the people of Nayagarh eagerly await President Murmu’s visit, which holds deep religious and cultural significance for the region.
“Around 30 platoons of police force will be deployed along with 6 SP rank officers will supervise the preparations. The President will be in Nayagarh for nearly three hours and hence appropriate security arrangements have been made,” informed Nayagarh SP.
