The Tourism Department of the State government is fully prepared to provide the arrangement to the NRIs, said Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Tuesday.

As per reports, the State Tourism Department will take all the responsibilities relating to visit and security of the NRIs during the convention in the Capital City. Homestay facilities will be provided to all the NRIs who will register for the convention.

“The Prime Minister of our country invites the NRIs to India every year. Odisha is so fortunate that the convention will be held in Bhubaneswar this year. As per our culture, we should accept the NRIs like ‘Atithi debo Bhaba’ (guests are our Gods),” said Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida.

“I think the New Year will bring new encouragement for us. The NRIs who are coming to Bhubaneswar for the convention are registering through the Ministry of External Affairs portal. Odisha Tourism Department is taking care of the homestay facilities of the NRIs. Proper security facilities will be provided to the NRIs during their visits to the nearby places,” she added.
