Police Medals
A total of 1,090 personnel across the country will receive the Police Service Medal this year, with 22 recipients from Odisha.
Among them, two officers will be awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, nine will receive the Police Medal for Gallantry, and eleven will be honoured with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service will be awarded to ASP Rabindra Panda and Commandant Naresh Kumar Patel.
Police Medal for Gallantry will be conferred upon SI Amaresh Narendra and Constable Jitendra Kumar Nayak. Other recipients in this category include OAPF personnel Arjuna Mallick and Youdhishthira Mallik, Havildar Aswini Kumar Bagh, Commando Dumburudhar Bhoi, Nabin Kumar Sahu, Pradip Shrestha, and Abhimanyu Majhi.
For Meritorious Service, the medals will be presented to AIG Maheshwar Sethi, ASP Pradeep Kumar Pradhan, Debendra Narayan Das, DSP Ashish Kumar Raut, Inspector A Srinibas Dora, DSP Hemamalini Nayak, and Commandant Suryanarayan Mallick. Other awardees in this category include Inspector Santosh Kumar Mirdha, ASI Arun Kumar Samanta, Arabinda Das, and Constable Chinmayee Raut.
