Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Odisha in December, informed senior BJP leader and Opposition Chief Whip in Odisha Assembly, Mohan Majhi on Tuesday.

As per Majhi, the PM is scheduled to attend a government programme in Western Odisha.

“Central leaders including PM Narendra Modi, party president JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Odisha in December and January,” Majhi said while speaking to reporters.

“Our focus is on increasing the party's strength and forming the government in Odisha,” Majhi said.

It is learnt there is a programme at Sambalpur IIM on December 24. Therefore, it is believed that PM Modi may attend this programme. However, there is no official statement on this yet.
