Illegally parked trucks fined in Talcher
To address traffic issues, the Talcher subdivision police administration has imposed fines on illegal truck parking along the roads. In a single day, approximately 85 vehicles were fined for violating parking regulations.
The action came in response to the growing concerns over traffic problems caused by trucks parked on the roads. The police have taken a firm stance by imposing hefty fines on trucks parked illegally on both sides of the road. This initiative aims at improving traffic flow and ensuring public safety.
Authorities have announced that this campaign will continue in the future to maintain order on the roads and reduce traffic congestion.
Sameer Ranjan Jena, Sub Collector, Talcher, said, “Traffic jam was a long standing problem and the major reason behind taking this step. We will ensure that all traffic rules will be enforced strictly to avoid such instances in the future. The collector had also ordered to solve the traffic problem since the main Highway of Talcher passes through the municipality area; so, it has been declared as a ‘no parking’ zone and the enforcement activity has started in a strict manner from today. Approximately, 80 vehicles were fined for illegal parking. I would request both truck owners and drivers to obey traffic rules and assist us with solving traffic congestion.”
“Truck drivers were parking their vehicles in the middle of the road which was causing heavy traffic jams. The collector has declared the area between Bankadhara Square and Chainpal as a ‘no parking’ zone. We have warned them thoroughly, held meetings, spread awareness through announcements and notice that no one should park their vehicles in this area. However, for those who do not obey these rules, strict actions will be taken against them,” said Manas Ranjan Barik, SDPO, Talcher.
