After data entry and tailoring, several needy aspirants were counseled for beautician course as part of Odisha Television Network’s CSR initiative, OTV Cares. OTV Cares and Visage Beauty Academy officials were involved in the counselling process.

The selected candidates will now undergo training as part of the 90-day course. The selected girls will also be given training for campus interview.

"Like others, I want to do something for my family. Only after getting information about such an initiative by OTV, I had applied and got selected," said Suryapriya Sahu, an aspirant.

It is pertinent to mention here that the training is a part of the ongoing initiative by OTV Cares to facilitate skill development of underprivileged women. Under the programme, sewing and designing, beautician, home nursing, data entry, and other vocational training will be provided to the needy to make them self-reliant.

Visage Beauty Academy MD, Priyadarshini Mohanty said, "Skill development is highly essential. I thank OTV to consider skill development of girls under CSR initiative. I have joined the initiative, and the duration of the course is three months. OTV will bear all the expenses of the course including accommodation and food."

The applicants, mostly from poor financial backgrounds and those, who lost their parent/s, have been given priority. OTV Cares will bear all expenses including admission, course fee, and hostel fee. The first phase counselling of selected candidates for the data entry course was held in the month of April.
