Odisha woman gangraped, killed by supari killers hired by husband

In a shocking incident, a woman was reportedly abducted, tortured, and brutally gang-raped before she was killed by the contract killers hired by her husband in Odisha’s Keonjhar. Subsequently, the miscreants threw the body into a river.

The shocking revelation comes days after the victim's nude body was recovered from the river. The heinous incident has been reported from Odisha’s Keonjhar district. Family members brought the serious allegations and demanded stringent punishment against the accused.

“Our daughter was abducted, tortured, and brutally gangraped. The contract killers hired by her husband took turns on her before killing her and then dumped her body in the river,” a family member revealed.

According to sources, the victim had gone missing on September 3. Later, her body was recovered from Malda River on September 20. Sadar police have arrested the victim’s husband in this connection and had recreated the crime scene. However, they are yet to arrest the supari killers.

When contacted, police said that they were waiting for the post-mortem reports that will reveal if the victim was gangraped or not.

“Currently, an investigation is on and we are waiting for the post-mortem report. I cannot reveal anything before the arrival of the autopsy report. Soon, we will arrest other accused in the case,” informed Keonjhar Sadar SDPO Mahendra Murmu.
