After renaming the LAccMI scheme, name of ‘Mo Bus’ service in Odisha will be changed soon, informed Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra.
Informing about the development, Minister Mahapatra said that ‘Mo Bus’ service may be renamed as ‘Ama Bus’.
“Nothing happens in me and mine. Our government is the government of the people. Hence, it will be good if ‘Mo Bus’ service is renamed as ‘Ama Bus’. Our government will always give priority to the needs of the people” said Mahapatra.
The Minister rode a 'Mo Bus' from Master Canteen Square to Press Chhak in Bhubaneswar and communicated with the passengers and staff of the vehicle to know about their problems.
“The system of ‘Mo Bus’ service will be changed first. Then, the name of the service and colour of the buses will be changed following discussion with the Chief Minister,” said Mahapatra.
“The service has been good. However, passengers need more number of buses. Considering the demand of the people, the bus service will continue and even more buses will run. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is giving as many as 400 electric buses to Odisha and those vehicles will reach very soon. As many as 100 buses will run in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar and the rest vehicles will run in other cities. I have discussed with the concerned authorities to ensure careful driving and stop thefts in the buses,” he added.
LAccMI scheme in the State was recently renamed as ‘Mukhyamantri Bus Seva’.
