The Cyber Police arrested an assistant teacher of an upper primary school in Jajpur on Saturday for his involvement in the question paper leak case.

As per reports, the accused teacher had made question papers of Class I to Class VII viral on a YouTube channel. The accused has been identified as Jagannath Kar.

Police said the teacher and his wife have a YouTube channel. They had committed the crime in a bid to increase the viewership of their YouTube channel named Pro Answer. 

Police had earlier received a complaint from OSEPA on March 18 after questions got leaked on the channel. Police arrested Samir Nayak, the owner of another YouTube channel Samir Education. During the interrogation of Samir, Pro Answer channel's involvement came to the fore. 

As per reports, Jagannath was running this channel in the name of his wife and gave some question papers to his wife. His wife reportedly uploaded the questions on YouTube. 

Police have seized the cell phone of his wife.  

Addressing a presser, Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh said, "Jagannath Kar, 29, is a teacher at Gopinathjew Upper Primary Nodal School in Jajpur.  His wife Rutuparna Pati owns the Pro Answer YouTube channel. Their purpose was to expand the followers of the channel so that they could monetize it.”

The DCP added that the teacher gave the question papers to his wife, who created videos well before the examinations.
