Speaker Om Birla with JEE topper Om Behera and his mother
Om Prakash Behera, a student from Odisha, was recognised on Sunday for his outstanding performance in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, a national-level examination in India. Wishes poured in from people belonging to all sections of the society.
The prominent dignitaries are Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and BJP National Vice-President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda.
In a ceremony held in Kota, Rajasthan, where Om is currently pursuing his education, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla personally congratulated him. Birla highlighted Om’s success as a demonstration of his dedication and the conducive academic environment provided in Kota, known for its preparatory coaching institutions.
Acknowledgements from both state and national leaders underscore the significance of Om’s accomplishment in the highly competitive Indian academic landscape.
“I would advise the JEE aspirants to thoroughly read NCERT prescribed books for Chemistry and Physics. However, one has to practice in detail the previous years’ question papers for Mathematics. Going through the syllabus will help to identify the areas where one has to put in extra efforts,” the JEE topper expressed to OTV.
Odisha CM took to his social media handle to express his pride in Om's achievement, calling it a moment of honour for the State.
“Congratulations and best wishes to Om Prakash Behera for his outstanding achievement of securing 100 percentile (perfect score) at the All India level in the JEE Main 2025 (Session-2) examination. His success is a matter of pride for Odisha. Wishing him a bright and successful future ahead,” the CM stated.
Praising Om for his achievement, Kendrapara MP wrote, “A matter of pride for Odisha. Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Om Prakash Behera from Odisha for securing the top position at the all-India level by scoring 100% in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 – Second Session. Wishing him a bright future.”
Om Prakash scored a perfect 100 percentile, distinguishing himself among 24 top scorers in the 2025 Session-2 of the exam.
