Similipal Tiger Reserve
Similipal Tiger Reserve in Mayurbhanj district has been reopened for tourists from Thursday, after remaining closed since June 12 for the monsoon season.
The nature enthusiasts are allowed to enter the reserve from 6am to 1 pm. While 35 vehicles are allowed to have entry through the Jahipur-Kaliani gate, 25 vehicles are allowed entry through the Pithabata entry point. Authorities of the reserve have made all kinds of arrangements in this regard.
This reopening allows nature enthusiasts to explore one of India’s largest and most diverse national parks. However, some rules and guidelines are in place for visitors to ensure both safety and the preservation of the park’s ecosystem.

As per reports, Similipal Tiger Reserve has been announced as completely plastic-free this year. Special arrangements have been made for roaming inside the reserve and having food. The authorities of the reserve have made arrangements to supply cooked food to the visitors through local self-help groups.
Visitors are being welcomed near Jahipur with traditional tribal dance and songs.
