Odisha promotes 16 IAS officers to Additional Secretary rank

The Odisha Government has promoted 16 IAS officers to Additional Secretary ranks in various departments. A GA&PG notification was issued detailing the changes.

The Odisha Government has promoted 16 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to the rank of Additional Secretary across various departments at the State Secretariat.

A notification in this regard has been issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance (GA&PG) Department on Friday.

Notably, all the 16 officers who have been promoted were working as Joint Secretaries to the Government in different departments.

List of the Promoted IAS Officers:

Dharam Hansdah – Joint Secretary to Government, Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department

Rina Mohapatra – Joint Secretary to Government, Fisheries & Animal Resources Department

Lily Kumari Kullu – Joint Secretary to Government, Revenue & Disaster Management Department

Aradhana Das – Joint Secretary to Government, Home Department

Narahari Sethy – Joint Secretary to Government, Water Resources Department

Madhumita Rath – Joint Secretary to Government, Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department (also MD of Utkalika)

Debasis Singh – Joint Secretary to Government, Housing & Urban Development Department

Pratap Chandra Hota – Joint Secretary to Government, Parliamentary Affairs Department

Nibedita Mishra – Joint Secretary to Government, Energy Department

Rega Geetarani Patnaik – Joint Secretary to Government, Rural Development Department

Archana Das Pattanaik – Joint Secretary to Government, Excise Department

Anjana Panda – Joint Secretary to Government, Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Department

Nivedita Prusty – Joint Secretary to Government, Home Department

Swayam Prava Mohanty – Joint Secretary to Government, Women & Child Development Department

Sudam Charan Mandal – Joint Secretary to Government, Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Department

Girish Chandra Singh – Joint Secretary to Government, School & Mass Education Department

What Happens Now

These promotions come in line with longstanding service rules and performance-based evaluations. All 16 officers will now function with greater administrative authority and responsibilities under their respective departments. The GA&PG Department has already issued the formal orders, and the changes are expected to take effect immediately.
