Bureaucratic reshuffle in Odisha; IAS Sanjay Singh appointed Works Dept Principal Secy

The Odisha government effected a brief reshuffle in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS)-cadre on Friday. Accordingly, Sanjay Kumar Singh, at present Rural Development Principal Secretary with additional charge of Information & Public Relations Principal Secretary and Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Principal Secretary, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to Works Department.

Sanjay Singh is a 1997-batch IAS officer. He was allowed to remain in additional charge of the Principal Secretary to Government, Information & Public Relation and Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare departments.

Yamini Sarangi, a 2008-batch IAS officer and at present the Commercial Taxes & GST Commissioner with additional charge of Finance department Special Secretary was allowed to remain in additional charge of the Rural Development Commissioner-cum-Secretary.

Senior bureaucrat on central deputation

As per a notification of Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, and the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, Odisha government relived the 1996-batch IAS officer Vir Vikram Yadav with effect from today.

Vir Vikram Yadav, at present Works department Principal Secretary with additional charge of the Trade Promotion & Investment Commissioner and Odisha State Commission for Backward Classes Member Secretary, was sent on central deputation, a notification issued in this regard by the ACC mentioned.

Senior bureaucrat Yadav is to join his new assignment as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) to Government of India, New Delhi.
