Pattapur Police Station in Ganjam, Odisha ranked second-best in India. Amit Shah awarded the accolade at the DG-IGP Conference 2024 in Bhubaneswar, praising officers' dedication.

Pattapur Police Station, located in Ganjam district, has achieved the notable distinction of being the second-best police station in India. 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah awarded the three best police stations at the All India Director General and Inspector General of Police Conference 2024, which is underway in Bhubaneswar. He bestowed the prestigious second-best police station award upon Pattapur Police Station. 

The Inspector-in-Charge of Patapur Police Station received the accolade, which stands as a testament to the commitment and efficiency of the station's officers.

Director General of Police (DGP), Y.B. Khurania, expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the officials of Pattapur Police Station. He said the recognition has brought immense pride and honour to our state's police force.

The accolade not only highlights the dedication of the officers but also brings national recognition to the security efforts in Odisha.

At the same time, the acknowledgement by the Union Home Ministry serves as a motivational milestone for law enforcement agencies across India, showcasing the exemplary standards set by Pattapur Police Station.

The award ceremony took place during the annual conference where key issues related to policing were discussed among senior law enforcement officials across India.

The event also witnessed the presentation of the President's Police Medal for distinguished service.

Notably, the awards were presented at the all-India DG-IGP Conference inaugurated at the conference hall of the Lok Seva Bhawan on Friday. The conference will continue till December 1.
