Ganjam is the largest district of Odisha in terms of population. The district is broadly divided into two divisions, the Coastal plain area in the east and hill and table lands in the west. The Eastern Ghats run along the western side of the District. Ganjam district is best known for its stunning sea beach and a deep sea port at Gopalpur. Ganjam is also famous for a perennial hot spring of medicinal sulfuric water located at Taptapani .This district has world’s largest breeding ground of Olive Ridley sea turtles at Rushikulya beach where Lakhs of endangered Olive Ridley turtles flocked the Rushikulya river mouth for their annual mass nesting. Ganjam’s Achar (Pickles) and Papad is very popular. These two give away such a wonderful flavor to the mouth that it is liked by the folks of Odisha at any and every point of time.

Basant Sethi, an attendant of a patient, said, “When we came to the CHC, it was dark and the doctor on duty was moving outside the hospital speaking on the phone. There was no light. We switched on our mobile light and the doctor started treatment.”  

ED Raid On Chit Fund Company In Odisha

What was very disconcerting about the incident was that the juvenile delinquent committed the crime after returning from a Bal Sudhar Gruha (juvenile home/borstal for young offenders). People were shocked by such an incident.
