According to sources, what appears to be a motorbike from every angle—front, back, and even top—is actually not a bike at all. A closer look reveals it’s a creatively disguised bicycle, ingeniously transformed by a mechanic named Siba Shankar Sahu, a resident of Rajendra Nagar locality in Cuttack.

Sahu, who repairs gas stoves for a living, was moved when his son expressed a strong desire for a motorbike. Although Siba did not know how to ride a bike and lacked the money to buy one, he was determined not to let his son down.

So, driven by love and resourcefulness, Siba set out to build the impossible: a bicycle that looked just like a motorcycle.

Over one and a half months, he assembled parts from an old Hero Honda CD-100—using the handle, petrol tank, speedometer, leg guard, and seat—everything except the engine. The base structure remained a regular bicycle. The final creation was a half-cycle, half-motorbike that instantly caught everyone’s attention.

This remarkable invention has turned heads across Cuttack, with people flocking to catch a glimpse of the hybrid vehicle. The bike stands as a testament to a father’s dedication and creativity, proving that limited resources can never limit a parent’s love.

“I do not know how to ride a motorcycle; hence, used to traveling by bicycle. I drop my son off every day at his school. One day, he asked me to buy a motorcycle. When he insisted, I promised him to build one,” the mechanic said when contacted.

“He (Siba’s son) questioned me, ‘Are motorcycles built?’. I told him ‘yes’; how else do the vehicles come to market? I will reconstruct one for you,” Siba stated to OTV, quoting what the man had committed to his lone child.
