Odisha Vigilance raided seven locations linked to Junior Mining Officer Padmanav Hota for disproportionate assets. Raids spanned Bhubaneswar, Keonjhar, Jajpur, and Bhawanipatna. Key documents seized.

Odisha Junior Mining Officer lands in Vigilance net, raids underway at 7 places

Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids at seven places including the office and residence of Padmanav Hota, a Junior Mining Officer(JMO) in Keonjhar, on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to sources, multiple teams of the anti-corruption agency raided the properties of Hota and his relatives located in Bhubaneswar, Keonjhar, Jajpur and Bhawanipatna.

The Vigilance team comprising seven DSPs, five Inspectors, eight ASIs, and other supporting staff conducted the raids on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.

The anti-corruption agency is said to have laid its hands on many important documents and passbooks during the search.

Till the last report came in, search operations were underway.

Search Underway at Below Places:

1) Double storeyed building located at Jagannathpur, Keonjhar.     
2) Four storeyed building over plot No. 222/1209 located at Karodakanta, Bhubaneswar.  
3) Farm house over plot No. 2827/4230 located at Madanpur under Ghasipura Tahasil,  Dist- Keonjhar. 
4) Single storeyed building at paternal land located at Jamadeipur Sasan, PS- Tamka, Dist-Jajpur. 
5) Office chamber of Padmanav Hota at Keonjhar.  
6) Rented house Located at Hill Town, Bhawanipatna.          
7) House of his relative located at Balarampur (Talgada),  PS- Dharmasala Dist-Jajpur.
